YOUTH TOUR
Each year Frontier Power sponsors one or two high school sophomores or
juniors to attend the Rural Electric Cooperatives' Youth Tour to Washington, DC
in June. This is a fun-filled and exciting week which includes visits to
historical monuments, National Zoo, FBI, meeting with US Representative and
Senators, and making new friends from many states. The group also votes on
an Ohio youth representative to attend the National Youth Leadership Conference
held in July. At this conference, individuals learn more about the
electric industry and attend sessions developing their leadership and
presentation skills.
Each individual applying for the tour must be a sophomore or junior whose parent or legal guardian is a member of the Frontier Power Company electric cooperative.
You can obtain an application from your high school guidance office starting in mid February. Applications for the tour are due in to Frontier Power by the designated deadline date each March.
